People told us what they liked most at the Permaculture in Action 2011 – Intro Day!

Hey There!

I’ve been going through the feedback forms from Permaculture in Action 2011 Intro Day last Saturday here in the Southside.  We all had such a fantastic time getting to know a new bunch  of really great folks and actually doing something to make our community visibly better!

Practical solutions for our community demonstrated live!

People said they love the rich combination  of learning permaculture design principals, seeing examples of these principals in practice right here in our own community and putting them into practice with hands on  projects that actually improve our whole community’s food web.

What  were some  of your favorite part of the Permaculture in Action Intro Day class today?

“Learning a new way to layer and build soil”.  –Kirstin Stopen, New York

Included tours of permaculture features and plans coming to life!

“the combination of learning, visual examples (especially the honeycombe milpa) and ability to help projects” – Tim Ormand, Ashville

Creating an effective retaining wall for the cistern for 40 Congress

“Helping with the retaining wall” –Ron Martin-Adkins, Candler

Seeing results and practical applications!

” I came in having very little understanding and left with a new awareness on many levels.”  — Julia Norman, Atlanta, GA

“To restore the land one must live and work in a place.
To work in a place is to work with others.
People who work together in a place become a community,
and a community, in time, grows a culture.
To work on behalf of the wild is to restore culture.”
